 About our firm ...

The firm was originally formed as 'Hardy, Titterton & Co' in 1989 by David Hardy and Arthur Titterton who had been in private practice in Ripley.

The firm merged with 'Elizabeth R.M. Miles & Co' of Alfreton in 1993 to form Hardy, Miles, Titterton, centralising at Ripley office, which was altered and extended at that time. 

On the death of Mrs. Miles in 1995, Wendy Shaw became a partner and we opened a branch office at Heanor in May 1999.

In December 2000 the firm acquired the practice and premises of Hawkins & Co in South Normanton. In January 2002 our Heanor office moved to larger premises on Ray Street.
 

David has practised in Church Street, Ripley since 1969. He is a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel and a former President of Derby and District Law Society. He specialises in Personal Injury work and has been a partner with Arthur Titterton for over twenty-five years.

A specialist in Family Law, an area in which he has forty years experience, Arthur is also a former President of the Derby and District Law Society.  He currently works from South Normanton office.

Wendy joined the practice as a Solicitor from an Ilkeston firm in 1993, also the year she qualified, and became a Partner in 1997. She specialises in commercial law, probate and conveyancing and is head of the non-contentious department.

Niall joined the practice in 2002 having qualified as a Solicitor in 1999. He deals with Personal Injury, Family Law and Civil Litigation and is based at the Heanor Office.

Liz joined the practice in 2004 and specialises in Wills, Probate, Power of Attorney, Debt and Civil Litigation, and is based at the Ripley Office. Liz is also available to see Clients at Heanor and South Normanton by appointment.

Elizabeth Garratt  ~ Trainee Solicitor

 

Tracey joined the practice in 2005 and deals with residential conveyancing, re-mortgages and transfer of equity matters. She is based at the Ripley Office.

Ghis joined the practice in 2003 and deals with residential conveyancing, re-mortgages and transfer of equity matters. She is based at the Heanor Office.

Bernice joined the practice in 2004 and deals with residential conveyancing, re-mortgages and transfer of equity matters. She is based at the South Normanton Office.

Church Street Offices Pre. 1960

A very old  photograph of  R.S.D. Cash & Sons' solicitors office at Church Street, Ripley. The building was side-on to the road and you can just make out Ripley Church tower on the extreme right. This building was demolished in the early 1960's and its site now forms Wilkinson's store and our Ripley office
